CELESTIAL SYMPHONY

Choruses of Chromatic Blooms

Flowers have long occupied painting as symbols of beauty, delicacy, and renewal. In Celestial Symphony, however, they become a shared language through which Mylene Quito and Chai Soo explore joy, healing, self-love, and creative confidence.

Though both artists draw from floral imagery, their approaches diverge in compelling ways. Chai Soo paints with openness and intuition. Her blossoms drift through luminous layers of color, suspended between memory and imagination. Forms soften and dissolve, creating atmospheres that feel less observed than remembered. Her paintings carry a quiet lyricism, where color becomes emotion and emotion becomes song.

Mylene Quito, meanwhile, builds richly layered “mosaic” compositions from pattern, repetition, and intricate detail. Petals, leaves, and tiny symbols interlock into vibrant visual tapestries that balance abundance with structure. Her works reward slow looking, revealing a celebration of nature’s resilience and capacity to flourish.

Together, their paintings create a rhythm of contrasts. Chai leans toward atmosphere, Mylene toward structure. One sings in gentle refrains, the other in crescendos. Yet neither dominates. Instead, they find harmony.

Rooted in friendship and mutual support, Celestial Symphony reminds us that a symphony is built not from identical voices but from distinct ones moving confidently together. Through color, pattern, and feeling, these artists transform difference into resonance.
