Monnar revisits the inspiration he received from the far-ranging work of 20th-century icon Pablo Picasso in “Finding Picasso”. Monnar’s 47th solo exhibit reinterprets key classic pieces of the Spanish great while injecting his own signature style-bright pastel hues, deliberate and patient strokes of pen and ink, and abstract figures. More than a melding of styles, “Finding Picasso” showcases a connection made beyond space and time – kindred souls espousing the same abstractionist ethos.
